A lovely family-run hotel with comfortable and characterful reception area and bedrooms (about 20-25 rooms - nice art deco details in my bedroom), and a pretty courtyard. We particularly appreciated that the receptionist had stayed past midnight to check us in when our flight was delayed. Antonio was exceptionally helpful when Sicily By Car's phones weren't responding on our last day - he called a garage to come out to assist and we got to the airport in time. We didn't hesitate about asking him for help as they had been so friendly and helpful earlier in our stay. The breakfast was of good quality, with high-protein options for the diabetic in our party, and the views from the restaurant/breakfast room were fantastic when the cloud cleared each morning at about 9 a.m.. We ate a couple of times in the restaurant and those were some of the best meals we had in Erice, where it is difficult to avoid so-so tourist food. The hotel is probably the closest one to the main Erice car parks (though it is up a hill). I loved the country walk up from the free lower car park (to find this path, go 50-100m further down the road to the red and white sign on the left - avoid high heels as the path is slightly rougher towards the end).

The Hotel Elimo is an absolute gem in an enchanting mountain village. The manager Antonio is so very helpful in every way, from recommending car routes to even sorting out a mechanic at short notice to deal with a flat tyre on our hire-car. The hotel itself is a delightfully eccentric little place, full of eclectic art and interesting areas to sit (the library of varied books and comfortable chairs, the lovely garden room, the dining-room with its stunning view). The rooms are comfortable and quiet. It's a few minutes' walk up a hill from the Erice car-park, and right next to the characterful centre of Erice, where we loved just strolling. The food is excellent and uses local ingredients, and there are friendly staff to bring you drinks and coffee at any stage.

The host/owner of Hotel Elimo was truly exceptional. He went way above and beyond any expectations one might have. He cared about every detail of our stay. When we arrived, I was very anxious about our rental car (our first time using a hybrid car) and so he stopped everything to walk over with me to where we parked the car and showed me how everything worked. The view from the dining room overlooks the wide expanse of the mountain top and sea below. The charming courtyard and roof top terrace provide lovely place to enjoy all the charms of Erice. We stayed at the hotel for seven days and would have loved to stay even longer.

Been in Sicily 11 days and this is by far our favorite location. Antonio from the hotel was a one man show with knowledge not only of the hotel but of the local surroundings. He was almost always available to answer questions and provide recommendations, and reservations elsewhere if needed. He helped us with parking by physically meeting, taking us to hotel and parking our car. The sitting area was very cozy with a fireplace and comfortable chairs where you could rest and have a drink after walking the hills of Erice. Food at breakfast was plentiful and dinner was awesome. This place and this town is magical!

Very nice host, helpful and proud of the city without being intrusive. We had a nice balcony looking over the pedestrain alley. The restaurant is on an enclosed balcony with a great view. Breakfast was a spread of pastries, corn flakes, cold cuts/cheese. Better than our others. Conveniently located if you want to duck back during the day to use the bathroom. Bathroom with elegant tub, but no overhead water. The fridge was in cabinet, so it didn't make noise, which we appreciate. There was some street noise, but not much. (We were there a bit out of season though.)
